- The purpose behind the Forty Durood and Salam is to foster a profound love and connection with our beloved Prophet (Pbuh). This compilation of prayers, known as a litany, was curated by Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi Rahmatullahi-alaihi, and later transmitted by Hazrat Shaykh Zakariya Rahmatullahi-alaihi in 'Fazaail-e-durood Shareef.'
